This is an effort to back female athletes who say they will not compete against men in sports.
The Riley Gaines Center is part of the Leadership Institute. The Leadership Institute is the parent organization of Campus Reform.
According to Campus Reform, former collegiate athlete Riley Gaines launched Project BOYcott because of the increasing number of women athletes refusing to play against men.
A link at RileyGainesCenter.org allows males and females to request help from Gaines “to combat radical transgender ideology.”
Virginia King, a Campus Reform correspondent and student at Texas State University, tells AFN that Project BOYcott, spelled with B, O, and Y capitalized, is necessary because boycotts are the only way to ensure men don't compete in women's sports.
"Five university volleyball teams have already forfeited their matches against San Jose State, which has a man on its team. As a conservative college student, I know how daunting it is to be in the minority standing up against radical Leftist agendas. So, I'm just so thrilled to see these boycotts because they really represent a culture shift among my generation against transgender ideology."
King said the program has been making a difference up to now, pointing to the five volleyball teams forfeiting.
Some of those teams include Utah State University, Boise State University, and the University of Wyoming.
Shocking numbers from U.N. report
"The United Nations has reported that 600 female athletes have lost 890 medals to male competitors. So, women don't just risk injuries when playing against men, they lose opportunities to win and attain success as well,” King said.
She believes Project BOYcott can make an impact.
“So the more athletes join Project BOYcott, we'll see more common sense triumph in higher education and fairness prevail in sports. These female athletes refused to compromise their dignity and the integrity of their sport. Women should not have to surrender their spaces to men, and making a woman compete against a man is unfair."
