Sucker punch pales in comparison to violence of abortion

A pro-life reporter appreciates the prayers and support following a recent attack.

Savannah Craven Antao told EWTN Pro-Life Weekly that while the confrontation has been a lot mentally and physically, "it's nothing compared to what's happening to over 1,000 babies every day."

The altercation happened during a man-on-the-street style interview that Savannah's husband, Henry, was videoing. He said he never expected the woman would lay a hand on his wife.

"She was very friendly," Henry told EWTN Pro-Life Weekly. "She was the one who came up to us and started a conversation, so, it was very shocking."

Savannah said she has never experienced anything like that.

"I'm used to people getting very agitated once I question their extreme views on abortion or even just ask them simple questions to clarify their stance," she told the pro-life news outlet. "I've had grown men spit at me, say horrible things that they want to happen to me, but I've never had anyone assault me like that."

"There was no obvious build up to this woman's attack," she accounted. "It was like a light switch went off."

Henry suggested the woman could have walked away, but as the unedited footage shows, she decided to choose violence.

Detectives working the case have identified the attacker and have issued a warrant for her arrest.

Still, Savannah believes the best way to share the pro-life perspective is to get out there and have real-life conversations with people.

"I think the biggest issue nowadays is that people aren't forced to have conversations," she told EWTN Pro-Life Weekly. "We're so used to just having these keyboard wars online … and then when they're actually questioned in real life, they're not able to handle it."

"This woman decided to do what a keyboard warrior says that they'll do online," Savannah summarized.
