Ed Martin, of STOPP International, reviewed the report and says Planned Parenthood did an excellent job of raking in cash.
“They've gone above and beyond anybody's imagination at this point – now up to $2 billion,” he says. “That's what Planned Parenthood has in total income.”
According to a related story at National Review, the abortion giant performed 392,715 abortions, a record number for the organization, which accounts for 40% of abortions performed in the U.S.
According to Martin, the newest abortion figure is 5% over the previous year.
Martin also noticed Planned Parenthood has expanded into the “gender drugs” market, meaning the body-changing hormones for mentally confused transgender people.
Back in the National Review story, the data also showed Planned Parenthood’s preventive-care visits dropped by 31% and pap tests fell 13.5%. Those medical services and others are routinely cited to shift public perception from Planned Parenthood's main purpose, abortion, but the figures also show it performed 228 abortions for every adoption referral.
The National Review story was written by scholar Michael New, a pro-life activist at the Charlotte Lozier Institute.
