After the Ohio Department of Health released abortion statistics for 2021, the figures include 500 minors who obtained an abortion. Among those girls, 57 of them were under age 15.
Elizabeth Whitmarsh of Ohio Right to Life questions whether those cases were turned over to authorities because it’s “typical behavior” for abortion giant Planned Parenthood to hide criminal cases from authorities.
“And so it's very troublesome to see that possibly 57 young girls were brought into abortion clinics and shown that they have been abused,” she tells AFN. “And instead of the abortion clinic going to protect these young girls, instead they chose to cover up the crimes and to help the abuser.”
Ohio law requires abortion clinics to report suspected sexual abuse cases, such as incest and sex trafficking, to law enforcement.
Because that is required, Whitmarsh says, state government should track those 57 cases and investigate.
