In the aftermath of Roe v Wade being overturned, South Carolina's heartbeat law went into effect thanks to pro-life leaders in the state. Planned Parenthood filed suit to block it but a judge has ruled the law can go into effect.
Holly Gatling, of South Carolina Citizens for Life, says that lawsuit proved interesting after the attorney for Planned Parenthood complained business has been reduced by half because of the heart law.
“So we are in the business of saving lives,” she says of herself and other pro-lifer activists in The Palmetto State.
According to a LifeNews article, Circuit Judge Casey Manning agreed to send the issue to the South Carolina Supreme Court for review instead of moving forward with the abortion giant’s lawsuit.
