Walz called the Human Rights Campaign event "the best party in the nation."
He gave examples about how Harris will push for homosexual marriage and support for LGBTQ youth.
Walz said Donald Trump's policies would "restrict freedom, bully this community and demonize vulnerable children.”
Arthur Schaper is Field Director for Mass Resistance.
"First of all, Tim Walz is like the most aggressive, radical progressive in the country. This guy is Gavin Newsom with less hair, colder weather. He was elected in 2018. Then he got the Legislature completely in 2022. They have pushed everything through. This guy is a complete LGBTQ fanatic."
Schaper said people need to really understand that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are like the high priests of the LGBTQ religion.
But it may take Walz pushing Harris to reach the potential desired for some in the LGBTQ community.
Harris has faced criticism for fighting to block gender-manipulation care for a biological male in prison in 2015.
Pushing pride as fast as they can
Schaper believes the Harris-Walz duo would do everything in their power to advance the LGBTQ community.
“They’re going to do everything they can to normalize this agenda across the board. You will see them rushing through the Equality Act, which expands the Civil Rights Act protections to include sexual, you know, sexual orientation and gender identity. This is going to be an absolute pressure for destruction of constitutional rights and for the rights and needs of families and especially of children."
Schaper says LGBTQ opposition from Donald Trump and JD Vance could be better. Trump needs to stiffen his resolve to it, that he is not strong enough here, Schaper says.
"If we are fortunate enough to see a Trump and especially a JD Vance presidency come November, our work is only beginning. We've got so many people still believing the lies, and Tim Walz is the epitome of that."
