CBS pointed out in 2020, when Kamala Harris was running for president the first time, that her liberal record was undeniable.
"Non-partisan GovTrack.us has rated you as the most liberal senator," they noted. "You supported the Green New Deal; you supported Medicare for all; you supported legalizing marijuana."
She also supported and contributed to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which raised money to get Goerge Floyd rioters out of jail after their "mostly peaceful" destruction of Minneapolis.
"They're not going to stop before Election Day in November, and they're not going to stop after Election Day," Harris said at the time. "Everyone should take note of that on both levels -- that … they're not going to let up, and they should not."
Now the Democratic Party's new presumptive nominee is playing up her law enforcement resume as attorney general of California. She bills herself as a tough-on-crime, law-and-order former prosecutor, but Randy Sutton of The Wounded Blue says her record shows something completely different.
In 2014, for example, then-Attorney General Harris campaigned for Proposition 47, which reclassified some felonies into misdemeanors, including many drug laws. Now, recognizing herself as the authority on crime, she says she would not, as president, criminalize illegal immigration.
"I have personally prosecuted everything from low-level offenses to homicides," she recently said. "I know what a crime looks like, and I will tell you an undocumented immigrant is not a criminal."
Meanwhile, Sutton says the vice president owns the Biden/Harris "anti-law enforcement … anti-public safety" record. Under her watch, violent crime has surged in large cities, drugs are flooding across the border and killing hundreds of thousands of Americans, and police forces across the country have been decimated by the "defund the police" movement and other woke initiatives.
"Under this administration's watch, we have seen lawlessness grow across America," Sutton observes. "This administration has been the most lawless administration in my memory."
As terrible as Biden has been for law enforcement and public safety, he is sure that Harris would be worse. So, the retired police lieutenant advises against paying attention to all the media coverage.
"They're trying to rehabilitate her and basically reinvent who she truly is," he asserts.
American Family Radio's Jenna Ellis agrees.
"The mainstream media, we know, is going to be in the pocket of the radical left Democrats, because they themselves are activists," she submits. "They're not actually media; they're not reporters; they're not journalists. They're activists, and they advocate for their worldview as much as I'm going to advocate for my worldview."
