As retirement portfolios continue to plummet, there appears to be no end in sight for high fuel and food prices. And with hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens pouring across the southern border, political pundits predict a red tsunami in the upcoming 2022 midterms.
"I think everybody that cares about the country wants to see the House and Senate with conservative majorities," comments Gary Bauer, chairman of the Campaign for Working Families. "Those conservative majorities, if they end up happening on Election Day, will be able to limit a lot of the damage that the president is doing to our country."
After the November elections are over, the new Congress comes in in January, and then the battle for 2024 will begin.
"I think we're going to see massive investigations of the Biden administration, which will slow Biden down," Bauer predicts. "I think we're going to see a lot of Biden administration officials being dragged up before the Congress to answer tough questions. So there are things that a conservative House and Senate will be able to do, but it's not going to be easy."
Meanwhile, the mainstream media continues to cover for President Biden. But a media watchdog says that could change as his approval ratings continue to fall.
Abbott Labs, one of the country's three major baby formula producers, shut down its Michigan plant in February over concerns about bacterial contamination. That, coupled with the preexisting supply chain crisis, left new parents scrambling to find food for their newborns. Children in several states were hospitalized as a result.
Though parents were already feeling the pinch by April, it was not until the second week of May that the mainstream media outlets started reporting on it. According to the Media Research Center (MRC), out of the 54 evening newscast stories on the formula crisis, only 10 placed blame on the Biden administration.
"The fact is he is the president, and they just sort of passively sat by the last couple months and allowed this to happen and allowed this to escalate," says MRC's Scott Whitlock. "What we've seen as far as crises – plural – with a Biden administration [is] they really treat him like a bystander, like things just happen and Joe Biden is not president."
However, as Biden's approval ratings are slipping, many liberals are starting to look for another candidate for 2024. And right on cue, the mainstream media is turning on him as well.
