As American Family News has reported, the Wyoming congresswoman has been seen "wandering around" downtown Manchester, New Hampshire, fueling speculation that she plans to run for president of the United States in 2024.
The National Pulse recently reported that Cheney, who was among the Republicans in the House who voted for the former president's second impeachment earlier this year, received the Association of Former Members of Congress (FMC) 2021 Statesmanship Award.
"Liz Cheney accepted an award from a group that our own government has identified as a Chinese Communist influence group, a group whose purpose it is to gain influence among elected officials and businessmen in the United States in order to benefit Communist China," explains Gary Bauer, chairman of the Campaign for Working Families.
So he questions whether Cheney can be trusted when it comes to national defense.
"The one area where Liz Cheney was thought to be her strength was the whole issue of foreign policy, standing up to our enemies," Bauer notes. "So if she's thinking about running, [and] if that story is accurate, she needs to be a lot more careful than she was if she accepted that award."
Her action there, he says, indicates that she is not trustworthy, not even on issues of national defense.
