iVoterGuide is now online and offers voters an unparalleled tool to help choose candidates and examine their stance on issues. Rob Chambers, executive VP of AFA Action, explains it will be a "one-stop shop" for election information for federal, statewide, and state legislative races. iVoterGuide has even thrown in a few school board races for good measure.
"iVoterGuide is the nation's leading voter resource," Chambers tells AFN. "It's an online resource where voters can go and learn more about candidates, from the White House all the way down to school boards … in some places." (See example: Houston, TX, school board runoff on December 11.)
The guide – described as "grounded in God, rooted in research" – currently includes data for almost half of the states. Chambers says it will grow in the coming months.
"Currently we cover statewide and legislative races in about 22 states," he says. "By the midterm elections, we'll increase that number from 22 to 34 – and then for the 2024 presidential election, the plan is to expand that … to all 50 states."
According to Chambers, the online voter guide contains more than just names and race information.
"It basically provides information where candidates get their money, who they endorse, who they're endorsed by, who they give their money to, who gives them money," he cites as examples. "It talks about their voting record, and [also provides] a survey that any particular candidate could complete …."
That survey, according to Chambers, addresses issues from religious liberty to those related to commerce and spending, to Second Amendment gun rights, to philosophies of governance and judge selection.
iVoterGuide reached 3.5 million voters in 2020 and contained research on more than 8,000 candidates.
