Vaccine mandate doesn't meet legal muster

A national defense analyst believes the Pentagon will have a hard time moving forward with the president's vaccine mandate for all active duty military personnel.

As part of the Biden administration's relentless vaccine campaign, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin (picturedwants to mandate shots for all active duty troops, despite the fact that these inoculations have not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

"I think because it's still an emergency authorization that they're going to have a hard time in moving forward," comments Bob Maginnis, senior fellow for national security at the Family Research Council (FRC). "If it was an FDA-approved vaccine and it was considered critical to the performance of duty or whatever the job, then that would be a different proposition."

Maginnis believes there will be exceptions.

"There are people out there with pre-existing situations that would cause a physical reaction to the vaccine," he notes, reiterating that "the FDA hasn't approved it, so it's still emergency authorization."

So while he does not think it would meet legal muster, he tells American Family News, "We'll have to wait and see."
