Emails obtained by The Washington Examiner through a Freedom of Information Act request show that CDC chief Rochelle Walensky and then-NIH director Francis Collins knew the rushed COVID-19 vaccine was failing and allowing so-called breakthrough infections. Despite that behind-the-scenes scrutiny, they still recommended adults and children roll up a sleeve on the basis the vaccinated won’t get sick.

Kennedy Jr. but that showdown is unlikely to happen. Rogan, who is famous for his free-flowing interview style with well-known guests, told Dr. Peter Hotez he would donate $100,000 to the charity of his choice if he sits beside Kennedy, the son of the late U.S. attorney. He is now a Democrat candidate for president but was already famous for fighting vaccines long before the COVID-19 shot was introduced for emergency use. Hotez told The Hill he is willing to debate the issue on Rogan’s show, where he has appeared before, but he refused to sit down with Kennedy and likened that debate to the “Jerry Springer Show.” Dr. Peter McCullough, an outspoken critic of the COVID-19 shot, tells AFN he would be more than willing to join Rogan’s show to debate Hotez. “I'm a little bit more published than Hotez,” McCullough says, “but he's in my league and we should sit down and discuss vaccine safety.” A good topic to start with, McCullough says, is Hotez’s collaboration with Fudan University, the public research university located in Shanghai, China. Hotez has publicly commented on working with Fudan to develop a COVID-19 vaccine but McCullough alleges that collaboration goes back farther and involves “biodefense” testing. |
According to the Examiner’s story, which quotes email discussions in January 2021, Walensky suggests the issue of “breakthrough cases” is an “important area of study.” In public, however, she said vaccinated people don’t carry the virus and don’t get sick from it.
Even in a later congressional hearing, the Examiner story says, the top CDC official defended her original statements on the basis they were true when she said them, a claim disputed by her now-public emails to Collins and to Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Dr. Peter McCullough, a Texas cardiologist, emerged as a vocal skeptic of the COVID-19 vaccine. He tells AFN the emails make it clear COVID-19 mandates were based on a lie.
For him, the emails are vindication for a doctor who was vilified for spreading “misinformation” about vaccinating children, the effectiveness of herd immunity, and the use of Ivermectin to treat the virus, among other issues.
“Our CDC and NIH knew the vaccine was failing, yet the statements they made to the public was that they stopped the infection. They stopped transmission,” he says. “And they used these false assertions to later on mandate the vaccines.”
Americans who have put the pandemic behind them might have also forgotten their president ordered 80 million people to get the COVID-19 shot or lose their job and livelihood.
“This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” President Biden told the nation in a September 2021 televised address. “And it’s caused by the fact that despite America having an unprecedented and successful vaccination program, despite the fact that for almost five months free vaccines have been available in 80,000 different locations, we still have nearly 80 million Americans who have failed to get the shot.”
In that same address, Biden said the vaccine mandate is “not about freedom of personal choice."
Hence he had directed the Department of Labor to order every private business with 100-plus employees to require the COVID-19 shot for employees or get fined for failing to do so. It would be four months before the U.S. Supreme Court, in a 6-3 decision, said OHSA does not have the federal authority to enforce a public health executive order from the President.
According to McCullough, citing CDC figures that are posted online, a total of 10,262 breakthrough cases were reported during just a four-month period from January 1, 2021 to April 30. With a median age of 58, 995 of those vaccinated patients, and 160 died, according to the CDC figures.
That means the federal government knew 10,000 vaccinated Americans had caught the virus and likely spread it to others in just a four-month period.
“If we had tens of thousands of cases of measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, pertussis, we pull them off the market,” he says. “We conclude something's wrong to the vaccine. It's not working.”
The reason the COVID-19 mandate was pushed on the public, McCullough concludes, is because of power.
