On the evening of October 1, Iran threw at least 180 intercontinental ballistic missiles at Israel – but Israel's two defensive shields, Iron Dome (pictured above) and David's Sling, got most of them. Twenty or more of the missiles made it through and exploded in Israel.
Former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann told Washington Watch with Tony Perkins it was a massive attack. "It was historic – and I think the mainstream media hasn't told the public how historic this is," she offered. "This is the largest ballistic missile attack ever in history."
And she says while Israel's defensive missile systems are a gift from God, the utter failure of such a massive attack was a miracle from Him.
"What's even more unprecedented was the miraculous nature of the destruction that was intended against Israel, but for an intervening hand of a miraculous God," says the former Minnesota lawmaker.
As reported by numerous news outlets, one Palestinian was killed by falling debris in the West Bank; but Iran's intended targets, the Jews, were completely spared.
"Not only did not one missile hit and kill one Israeli, not one of those missiles – in a very small country where there's not a lot of extra room – hit any military infrastructure. It's statistically impossible what happened, but for a miracle from God," she said.
"Both direct attacks should have devastated Israel. Neither did. This shows the miraculous hand of God."
