Unhappy media drops 'weird' for 'slick' after Vance wins 3-on-1 debate

A media watchdog says J.D. Vance not only outdebated Tim Walz in their V.P. debate but also outsmarted the two biased debate moderators, too.

By all accounts, even by the liberal news media, Vance came out on top in the only debate between the vice presidential candidates.

Much like Donald Trump, in his 3-vs-1 ABC News debate, Vance was also battling Democrat-friendly CBS News debate moderators, too. In a post-debate analysis by the Media Research Center, it counted 19 questions from a liberal point of view, and only two that leaned right, from Margaret Brennan and Norah O’Donnell.

MRC also documented Vance was given 15 challenging questions, compared to seven for Walz, and the moderators hit Vance with 10 follow-up questions. Walz only fielded two.

MRC spokesman Dan Schneider says Brennan and O'Donnell definitely had their thumbs on the scale during the debate.

“They were doing their very best,” he recalls, “to try to put J.D. Vance in a corner to help Tim Walz out, but J.D. is just too smart for them.”

Vance’s debate talent was so apparent it was recognized, in a back-handed way, by Democrats and their media allies. A post-debate statement from the White House called Vance a “slick politician,” and MRC documented how that talking point predictably showing up in post-debate analysis by Wednesday morning.

The biased liberal media previously labeled Vance "weird" on behalf of the Harris-Walz campaign, but TV viewers witnessed an Ohio senator who appeared to be civil, calm, and even sympathetic, on stage.

Vance fact-checked the fact-checker

In one of the biggest moments of the debate, however, Vance pointed out Brennan had broken a debate rule when she tried to fact-check the Republican about the Haitian immigrants living in Springfield, Ohio.

“And just to clarify for our viewers,” Brennan said, “Springfield, Ohio does have a large number of Haitian migrants who have legal status.”

“Margaret, the rules were that you guys weren't going to fact-check,” Vance replied. “And since you're fact-checking me, I think it's important to say what's actually going on.”

Ignoring the two panicking moderators, Vance informed viewers about CBP One. That phone app (pictured below), created by the federal government, allows illegal aliens to cross into the U.S. at a port of entry with assistance from the Department of Homeland Security.

Those illegal migrants, Vance said, “can apply for asylum, or apply for parole, and be granted legal status at the wave of a Kamala Harris open border wand.”

The desperate moderators finally cut Vance’s mic to stop him from speaking.
