In the first episode of "Inside with Jen Psaki" on Sunday, Psaki criticized the GOP for calling out the Left's extreme positions on social issues.
"Blaming the wokes or wokeness or wokeism has become a knee-jerk reaction for Republicans on any issue," she declared. "Clearly the term itself is a little bit ambiguous and has been subject to a lot of interpretation."
She called the "war on woke" the GOP's latest "boogeyman" and tweeted, "Let your woke flag fly" after the show.
But American Family Radio's Jenna Ellis says Psaki is being vague and disingenuous.
"The left accuses us of not being able to define woke or critical race theory, or even Socialism, or any of their leftist philosophies," Ellis responds. "This is on purpose."
She explains that an idea that cannot be pinned down is more difficult to challenge. Devoting time to arguing about definitions leaves the merits, or lack thereof, of the actual issue ignored.
But for the record, Ellis gives her definition.
"Woke is simply this: the belief that there are systemic injustices in American society that must be addressed and redressed," she states.
But she maintains that there is no systemic racism in America. Men cannot become women. It is child abuse to cut health body parts off of children to satisfy a passing fancy. No one is less than or greater than because of their skin color.
"We reject the false idea that there are systemic injustices in American society," Ellis asserts. "We reject the Left's solutions to that mythical problem. We reject all critical theory outcomes, things like ESG, CRT, [and] DEI."
