President Biden has renominated Nancy Abudu (pictured above), a radical political activist who currently serves as the strategic litigation director for the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), to serve on the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Abudu's previous nomination was held in limbo by an 11-11 tie vote of the Senate Judiciary Committee until her nomination expired on January 3, 2023. On that same day, President Joe Biden immediately renominated her.
"The Southern Poverty Law Center is a well-known left-wing Marxist organization that has weaponized the term 'hate' against Christian organizations like American Family Association (AFA)," notes Walker Wildmon, vice president of the AFA. "They've led to acts of violence such as what happened at Family Research Council (FRC) several years ago, where a gunman found FRC listed as a hate group on the SPLC website and went in and tried to shoot up Family Research Council."
Wildmon hopes enough Democrats are concerned about their re-election chances in 2024 to vote against Abudu now.
"Linking yourself to the SPLC is not a good way to go," he asserts. "Even some of these more moderate Democrats like Joe Manchin, they're not going to put their re-election bid on the line because of an SPLC lawyer that thinks Christians are haters."
Wildmon submits that Abudu's work for such a radical organization shows how unsuitable she is for the federal bench.
