A news editor who covers higher education says nearly 41% of college-aged voters find the recent murder of a UnitedHealthcare CEO "acceptable" because of what they're being taught in school.

James Dennehy, assistant director in charge of the FBI's New York field office, recently explained that on December 4, "Luigi Mangione allegedly conducted the carefully premeditated and targeted execution of Brian Thompson to incite national debates."

Emerson Polling has since surveyed 1,000 people and found that while most voters (68%) found the killing "unacceptable," 41% of younger voters – people aged 18 to 29 – found the killer's actions either "somewhat" or "completely acceptable."

Zachary Marschall, editor in chief of Campus Reform, tells AFN his team has found that public rhetoric directly ties in with the mindsets condoning this sort of behavior.

"I think this is an example of the practical application of the theories and ideologies being taught in college classes," he submits. "So much of the anti-Western, anti-capitalist, anti-Israel rhetoric that is being put out there is all tied together by this Marxist zeal for revolution. They want revolutionary change. Innocent people like the healthcare CEO Brian Thompson get shot in revolutions."

That, says Marschall, is exactly the kind of thing that Marxists and leftists want. Whether it is the Hamas terrorists storming the fences in Gaza or gunmen shooting CEOs on the streets of New York, "this is what revolutionary, anti-capitalist and anti-Western actions look like."

He does not think people should be shocked that the Marxists in higher education and those brainwashed with Marxist ideologies have no problem with the deaths of innocent people.
