It may sound like a sitcom plot, or like oil and water mixing, but the parents rights group is sending representative Catalina Stubbe to a panel discussion about parental rights and education.
Stubbe is representing Moms for Liberty at the “Trans-Atlantic Summit,” which will feature other prominent conservative leaders November 16 and 17 in New York City. The Moms rep will participate in a discussion about the right of parents to choose their children’s education and the rights of childhood and mother.
Stubbe, a Colombia-American, is the Hispanic outreach director for Moms for Liberty. She is also a mother of four.
“Parental rights is something that is fundamental,” she tells AFN. “It's a fundamental right that decides how we raise children in education, medical care, morality, tradition and religion."
Stubbe’s views on parental rights mirrors the group’s motto: “We do not co-parent with the government.”
Other well-known attendees include pro-life activist Lila Rose; Heritage Foundation senior researcher Jay Richards; and Paivin Rasanen, the Finnish politician who was charged with a “hate crime” for posting a Bible verse about homosexuality.
