Diane Gramley, president of the American Family Association of Pennsylvania (AFA of PA), explains that Pennsylvania Republican lawmakers are calling on Acting Secretary of Education Eric Hagarty to immediately remove an official state web page on “Gender/Gender Identity" because of its inaccuracies.
"21 state representatives signed on to a letter calling for him to remove the page or to resign," Gramley details. "So, we'll see how that goes, because I know he has the full support of Governor Wolf."
Among other things, Gramley takes issue with the PA Department of Education describing "binary gender" as a "faulty concept" and stating that there are many genders.
"We just see this getting worse and worse for our kids," she warns. "So, if at all possible, pull your kids out of public schools, and be careful which private school you put them in."
Since he has only had the job since April, The Washington Stand points out that Hagarty is probably not the one responsible for creating the gender indoctrination curricula. Lawmakers were questioning schools' use of transgender propaganda long before that. Still, as he is now the state official responsible for overseeing the agency that is using its website to promote this propaganda, he is the official from whom lawmakers can demand answers.
Gov. Tom Wolf, a Democrat, vetoed legislation last year that would have required schools to post curricula online.
