The poll of 1,000 registered voters, conducted by NBC News, showed 71% who identify as Republican also said they identify as MAGA supporters.
In the same poll of all voters, 36% identify as MAGA supporters. That is a jump from 23% in 2023 and 27% in a 2024, the NBC story said.
The idea behind “MAGA,” or “Make America Great Again,” is Americans are proud of the history and accomplishments of the United States of America, and they demand a secure national border and choose national sovereignty over globalism.
President Trump’s “America First” agenda, which vows to put U.S. interests ahead of our allies around the world, follows a similar theme.
The poll results come after the Democratic Party, with help from the liberal media, have equated “MAGA” and its themes of nationalism and patriotism to white supremacy and the rise of the Nazi Party in Germany.
"This MAGA threat is a threat to the brick and mortar of our democratic institutions," President Biden, in a 2023 speech, angrily warned. "It's also a threat to the character of our nation that gives our Constitution life, that binds us together as Americans, a common cause.”
After Democrats suddenly swapped Biden for Kamala Harris as their nominee, the new Democrat candidate called Trump "increasingly unhinged and unstable" just a few weeks before Election Day.
During a CNN town hall event, Harris was asked point-blank if she believed Trump was a "fascist." "Yes, I do," she replied.
Trump got off to fast, smooth start
The overwhelming GOP support for President Trump comes at about the same time he is hitting the 100-day mark in his second term. Whereas the first Trump term was marked by a chaotic start, the second term that began Jan. 20 named a list of voter-driven priorities that are being addressed by the White House every day since.
AFN has reported President Trump signed 200-plus executive orders on Jan. 20, or soon after, that ordered the federal government to tackle everything from illegal immigration and defending female athletes to ending race-focused DEI indoctrination in the federal government.
An executive order President Trump signed Jan. 20 pulled the U.S. out of the World Health Organization, where the Biden administration had handed over U.S. sovereignty to a legally-binding “Pandemic Preparedness Agreement.”
The theme of MAGA is similar to President Trump’s “America First” agenda, which vows to put U.S. interests ahead of our allies around the world.
Gary Bauer, of American Values, predicts the second election of Donald Trump may turn out to be a historic turning point for the nation.
“He has enabled Americans to be willing to admit publicly that they love our country,” Bauer says of Trump and his “MAGA” theme.
Reminder: Voters delivered historic win
Last fall’s presidential election, which might feel like ancient history to some by now, marked a historic win for Trump and a bitter defeat for Harris and the Democratic Party. Trump defeated Harris by winning 30 of the 50 U.S. states, including every swing state, to give him 312 electoral voters to 226 for the Democrat.
Trump also became the first Republican candidate in 20 years to win the popular vote, defeating Harris by 2.2 million votes.
Democrats have complained for decades the republic-inspired Electoral College is undemocratic, claiming the popular vote is a more democratic measure of the voters’ will.
Exit polls also showed Trump greatly increased his support among black voters, a key voting bloc for Democrats, as well as Hispanic voters. Male voters were a key demographic in those polls.
According to Jack Hibbs, a California pastor, he has noticed young men seeking God in great numbers. At a Palm Sunday service, at Calvary Chapel, about 135 people came forward during an altar call to give their lives to Jesus Christ.

“Every week we’re seeing young men, specifically, in great numbers come to know Jesus,” he told radio host Todd Starnes. “They’re searching. They’re hungry. They’re ready for a new direction in life.”
Regarding the NBC News poll, Bauer suspects young men in particular are embracing “MAGA” as if they awakened from a nightmare created by the Democratic Party.
“This is not only a tribute to [Trump], but it's a tribute to the resilience of the American people,” Bauer observes. “That they're rediscovering the greatness of our nation.”
