Mary Castle of Texas Values tells AFN President Biden opened the door for that criticism in October, when he met with Dylan Mulvaney, a man who identifies as a "girl," at the White House and told him that no state should have the right to ban "gender-affirming" medical treatments, including mutilation surgeries. The president referred to the protective actions some states are taking as "immoral."
"I don’t think any state or anybody should have the right to do that," said Biden. "As a moral question and a legal question – that's just wrong."
But Castle asserts that states absolutely have the right to protect children.
"When it comes to gender transitioning with these harmful puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and even these surgeries where they're removing body parts, this is an utmost interest for the state to get involved and make sure that all of these procedures and medicines are banned," she contends.
Castle also submits that the federal government attacking states' rights serves no purpose, especially when the feds are doing so much harm.
"It's very disheartening that the federal government is on the wrong side of the issue, that the Biden administration is actually promoting these dangerous surgeries," she laments. "Government spending on transgender cross sex surgeries has increased 5,000%."
Considering that all of those treatments are irreversible and linked to serious and potentially life-threatening side effects, her hope is that all states will challenge Biden's push for them, especially the mutilation surgeries. If nothing else, Castle says the states should at least make those options unavailable to anyone under the age of 18.
