Much of it has to do with a group called Pitt Purpose. It's a student athlete-led organization wanting to spread Christianity on Pitt's campus.
Jake Overman, a tight end on the Pitt football team, is one of the people involved.

Overman told Fox News Channel's "The Story with Martha MacCallum that people are turning to Jesus in record numbers.
"It's been amazing," said Overman. "It has brought this team closer, it's even brought this city closer, and I just know that it's all because of Jesus."
Overman is a native of Yorba Linda, California and played at Oregon State before transferring to Pitt.
There was a time when he would not have described himself as a person of strong faith. But that began to change when he entered college.
Other schools that have seen similar revivals include Auburn University, Texas A&M University, and Ohio State University.
Younger Americans are beginning to see a better, necessary path, he says.
"Since 2020 there has been a lot of darkness in this world, and I truly believe that there is an equal good to that, so I believe that this younger generation is really rising up and seeing all of these things that are happening in the world and knowing that if it isn't for us turning this generation around … it may not be looking good for us," said Overman. "So, we are turning to Jesus, we're turning to God in record numbers … and I believe that this is just the beginning of what we're going to see."
