The study was done by Concerned Women for America, which found that trans-identifying males have stolen more than 1,941 gold medals from women and girls in the United States, pushing each rightful champion down to second place.
It's not only about medals.
"With this report we also found that transgender-identifying male athletes have stolen almost $500,000, so, $493,173 in prize money from women in professional sports, and these measures are in recorded history, so, since the beginning of male participation in women's sports," says Hannah Lape, legislative assistant at Concerned Women for America. "The earliest occurrences of such would be in the mid-1980s, and males have competed in around 10,000 female sport events, so, this is a wide-ranging problem and we haven't really seen any numbers posted on how many women have been affected, how many have lost gold medals."

Lape hopes this information strengthens female athletes that are speaking out and encourages others to follow suit.
"We've seen the stories from Paula Scanlan (top photo) who was forced to change next to a man in a women's locker room, we've got Payton McNabb (shown right at State of the Union address) who suffered an almost deadly concussion from a man's volleyball spike, we've got Stephanie Turner (left) disqualified from her fencing championship for refusing to face a man when she took a knee," says Lape. "As concerned women and concerned men in the United States, we need to be talking about this, we need to be posting about it, because we cannot let the radical left continue to push forward."
Riley Gaines, the former University of Kentucky swimmer who lost out on an NCAA medal because of University of Pennsylvania biological male swimmer William Thomas, has become the most visible spokesperson for the save women’s sports movement.
Right behind her is Scanlan, a Thomas teammate at Penn, who shared in congressional testimony how the school administration belittled her for her beliefs.
“My teammates and I were forced to undress in the presence of Lia, a six‑feet‑four tall biological male … 18 times per week. Some girls opted to change in bathroom stalls and others used the family bathroom to avoid this,” Scanlan told lawmakers.
“When we tried to voice our concern … we were told that Lia swimming and being in our locker room was non‑negotiable and we were offered psychological services to attempt to re‑educate us … to become comfortable with the idea of undressing in front of a male.”
Penn’s treatment of its women’s swimmers was like reliving a nightmare for Scanlan, who had been sexually abused not too many years before, she testified.
Penn's change of heart
The fight against the school was taken up after Donald Trump replaced Joe Biden in the White House.
In a settlement to its Department of Education Title IX investigation the school, faced with a loss of federal funding, agreed to apologize to its female swimmers, pledge that no biological males will compete on their women’s sports teams moving ahead and strip Thomas of “records” and championships won in the women’s program.
"More than anything, I'm grateful for this administration for taking it so seriously," said Scanlan, speaking at a White House event announcing the settlement. "I have gotten exactly what I voted for."
