Bill Gates continues to have people talking about his change of tune when it comes to climate change.

Gates now insists that climate change "will not lead to humanity's demise." That's the opposite of what Gates (shown above) has been telling people and news outlets for years.

Here's one example from a Bloomberg interview in 2020.

"Well, certainly, climate change will make entire ecosystems die off," said Gates in 2020. "It'll make parts of the world impossible to live in."

Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, has spent billions of his own money to warn about the dangers of climate change.

In an interview with AFN, Climate Depot's Marc Morano, a skeptic of catastrophic man-made climate change, said the so-called change of heart from Gates is a combination of several factors.

"First off, it's the Trump effect, and that's Donald Trump wiping out actions, dismantling the climate agenda, going face to face with the United Nations General Assembly, telling them 'it's a hoax, it's a con, it's a fraud,' and the U.S. is no longer going to participate," Morano told AFN. "It's also the fact that there has been no pushback to anything Donald Trump has done; The climate activists have just laid-low and accepted it."

Pointing to the Trump administration's policies on things such as illegal immigration, Morano said there has been a lot of pushback.

"Well, they shouldn't like the climate policy, but no one seems to care that much at all about it," Morano said.

AI may also be a factor.

"His motive is to be in good with the Trump administration because the Trump administration has given out $100 million for contracts for data centers and AI development in this alleged arms race with China for AI, which I'm not convinced of, but the gist of it is Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Big Tech, they want energy," said Morano.

Politics creates strange alliances.

"So Big Tech billionaires like Gates want to cozy up to the Trump administration, and they're also facing the reality that they need energy, and energy comes from fossil fuels, and fossil fuel restrictions are not compatible with their AI vision. Also, AI vision is not compatible with the climate agenda."
