The Department of Justice has filed charges against James Comey, saying he lied to Congress about leaking files relating to either the Trump/Russia investigation or the Hillary Clinton email scandal, the AP reported previously. By Comey's own admission, he violated FBI protocols in taking out what would have been a key witness in that case when he had Trump's national security advisor, Michael Flynn, investigated.
“I sent them. Something I probably wouldn't have done or maybe got away with in a more organized administration. I thought it's early enough, let's just send a couple guys over,” admitted Comey back in 2018, reported Powerline.

Constitutional attorney Steve Crampton, senior counsel at the Thomas More Society, says Comey was front and center in the Russia collusion hoax, which Crampton considers to be an illegal investigation to begin with. He says that investigation into Flynn crippled the first Trump administration.
“It was disgraceful. It's disgraceful for the director of the FBI to set up and try to undermine – in fact, succeeded in undermining – the national security advisor,” says Crampton.
He says that, under the second Trump administration, all the facts are coming out.
“Now the director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, is in the middle of uncovering all of this wrongdoing. It was, I think, ultimately – the term's been thrown around a lot – a coup against the president, the duly elected president of the United States of America,” states Crampton.
