Comey has been indicted on two charges related to the debunked investigation into Russia's involvement in the 2016 election of President Donald Trump, previously reported the AP.
He has been accused of lying to the Senate Judiciary Committee when he said he had not authorized anyone else at the FBI to be an anonymous source in news reports into an FBI investigation related to Hillary Clinton. It also alleges that Comey did "corruptly endeavor to influence, obstruct and impede the due and proper exercise" of the Senate's inquiry.
Comey is not new to controversy as he was also labeled a “leaker” and accused of treason after Trump fired him in 2017. He obtained this reputation because he allowed a friend of his to reveal an unclassified memo to the press regarding Trump halting an FBI investigation into Michael Flynn, his first national security officer.

"The American media is reporting this like the founder of the Boy Scouts is being dragged in front of a kangaroo court. This guy is the worst leader of the FBI, probably in its history. I believe the evidence of his corruption is overwhelming," says Bauer.
Furthermore, Bauer emphasizes that this is about accountability
"I've heard other people say, ‘well, if the Trump administration does this, then when the left gets back in office, they'll do it to conservatives again,’ but they already did it to conservatives. And whether the Trump administration seeks accountability or not, if the left gets back in, they will do it to conservatives again," states Bauer.
Bauer hopes that others will soon be joining the indictment list.
"We have to hold the abusers of power accountable, and so I'm assuming that the indictment of Comey will not be the last indictment that will drive the left-wing media crazy in the months ahead," concludes Bauer.
