Polls predict Dem victory in midterms, conservative activist pleads Christians to vote

A conservative activist says Christians need to get out of the pews and go register and vote by the millions, if they want to keep the Democrats from sweeping to victory in the midterms.

Since the 2024 Republican victories, the Democrat Party has been losing ground, and the party’s approval numbers have reached all-time low. Those numbers should be encouraging for the 2026 midterms, which will determine whether President Trump will be able to carry out his MAGA agenda for the American people or have his presidency screech to a halt with another impeachment circus.

Unfortunately for Republicans, Real Clear Politics polls show that, despite their perceived unpopularity, Democrats lead in many 2025 and 2026 gubernatorial and Senate races. In fact, one of their articles states that, while Democrats are unpopular, they are likely to win the House in 2026.

The average of respondents that view the Democrat party favorable is 36.3% and for the Republican party 42.3%. However, Democrats lead Republicans by 2.9 points at 45.5% in the Generic Congressional Ballot. This asks whether people within their congressional district will vote Democrat or Republican.

Robert Knight Knight

Robert Knight, a columnist for the Washington Times, says to look at the popularity rating of the Democratic Party.

“They're as low as they can get. In fact, they're below 25%, and they have a very high disapproval rating, which speaks even louder that people don't like them. It's like 56%. They should be losing every election," says Knight.

But Knight says they win because a lot of Christians are sitting home on their hands, saying they don't want to get involved in politics.

"Christians are going to have to get out of the pews, register, and vote by the millions. If even 10% more Christians voted, that would turn this country around because we have a sizable contingent of evangelical Christians and conservative Catholics in this country and a growing number of conservative Jews,” says Knight.

Knight continues to say that if Christians get active and vote, then the politicians who establish “nut case policies” would be thrown out of office and no longer have seats.
