The Holocaust, otherwise known in Hebrew as the Shoah, is the systemic persecution and mass genocide of the Jews between 1933 and 1945 by Nazi Germany. During World War II, six million Jews were murder between 1941 and 1945, approximately two-thirds of Europe’s Jewish population. This was the “Final Solution,” and it followed after an increase of boycotts on Jewish business and laws that stripped Jews of their rights.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas orchestrated an attack from the Gaza Strip on Israel. Around 1,200 Israelis died, and more than 251 Israeli hostages were taken. This lead to a war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas for the last two years. Recently, under phase one of a peace treaty, Israel was given back the last remaining 20 living hostages.
As previously reported on AFN, there are many skeptics who despite the grandiose cease-fire ceremony in Egypt, do not believe that Hamas is going to disarm and give up their treacherous behavior. President Trump has vowed that if Hamas does not disarm, he will disarm them.
Robert Spencer is director of Jihad Watch. He believes it is possible that the release of the hostages will make it difficult for Israel to go back and finish the job.
"People will say, ‘Well, the job is finished. What are you attacking them for? So, they throw a few rockets into Israel and so on. Big deal. They've always been doing that’,” says Spencer.
He emphasizes that this was the whole idea.
“If the United States were under that kind of constant attack, we would have fought back. Israel is being forced into accepting the status quo that was rotten to start with. The fact is that, if Hamas had been destroyed, it would have set the jihadis back decades," says Spencer.
He comments that is what needs to be done.
"I think, unfortunately, it's going to take another large-scale massacre of Israelis to allow Israel to finish the job at this point," states Spencer.
