Democrats rallying behind Garcia shows sickness in U.S., says conservative activist

A conservative activist and political analyst says it is a sign of a deep sickness that a substantial part of our country only rallies when it’s behind somebody who is at odds with the laws of the United States of America.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is an accused wife-beater and human trafficker. He is also an MS13 gang member. However, leftists recently staged a protest outside of the immigration office where he was taken into custody and is being processed for deportation to Uganda, states a report from the Campaign of Working Families.

Around 200 people gathered at the Baltimore immigration office to pray and hear Garcia speak before he turned himself in, reports the AP.  While he was ordered to be removed by two immigration judges, Garcia’s immigration attorney said that there will be a fight to stop the removal.

Gary Bauer is chairman of the Campaign for Working Families. He says the amount of positive publicity this illegal alien has received is almost incalculable.

"When I see them rallying around this guy, having vigils for him, going to see him wherever he's being held at the moment – what comes to my mind is how many millions of Americans would give anything to see people in the country rally around them the way these Democrats of all types are rallying around "Maryland man," Bauer says.

Bauer points out that the U.S. didn’t see this kind of rally for victims of illegal aliens, like Laken Riley. She was a 22-year-old nursing student at the University of Georgia who was murdered in 2024 by illegal alien Jose Ibarra.

"Most media wanted to forget that family as quickly as they could and forget her name as quickly as they could. There weren’t any massive movements demanding justice for her. It is a sign of a deep sickness within a substantial part of our country,” says Bauer. “Their hearts only beat faster, their emotions only rise, and their commitment only burns deeply when it's somebody that is at odds with the laws of the United States of America.”
