Senator Ted Cruz was a guest on CNN's The Source this week, and he was incredulous when host Kaitlan Collins tried to say that authorities have no idea of the motive of alleged assassin Tyler Robinson, reports News Busters. The two of them began to talk over each other.
Collins: We don't have a motive yet. We don't know yet. We're waiting. Obviously, we've heard what the governor has had to say.

Cruz: Of course we know. C'mon. We don't have a motive yet. We don't have a motive yet, really?
Collins was defending that the evidence law enforcement has given doesn’t point to a motive. Cruz sarcastically responded that the shooter – implying that he was a conservative – fired the gun in celebration. As they continued to argue, Cruz basically called Collins a liar.
Cruz: That is objectively false.
Collins: They do not have a concrete motive.
Cruz: What you are saying is objectively false, and CNN should not be engaged in misinformation.
The New York Times published an article regarding the evidence against the alleged shooter Tyler Robinson. The contents of the engraving on the bullets, the recognition from his family, the text messages with his transitioning boyfriend, and a note left under a keyboard admitting his intent all point to Robinson’s hand in the assassination.
Although being raised in a Republican family, it is reported that his political views turned to the left, especially with gay and transgender rights. Utah prosecutors said that Kirk was targeted for his political expression.
Tim Graham of Media Research Center says that, whenever Cruz appears on CNN, the host is almost required to get angry.
“When you have Ted Cruz going up against Caitlin Collins, you also have a massive difference in intellect. So, the only way you can actually try to win the conversation is by talking loudly,” states Graham.
Graham says it's foolish for the left to try to paint Robinson as some conservative, and the longer they try, the more stupid they look.
“When the family and the law enforcement people tell you what he is, and you can see from his texts and his bullet casing remarks, you can tell he is not a conservative. He is not a supporter of Trump, which what you would already know because he shot Charlie Kirk,” says Graham.
