Marschall: Antisemitism is oldest and most accepted form of racism

It's no secret that Jews are being targeted in America, and a new poll reveals how bad it is.

It should be no surprise that the antisemitism problem in America is still running rampant across the country. Findings from a new AP-NORC Poll showed that many Jews in the U.S. have experienced assault or harassment in the past year.

Associated Press named some of these antisemitic incidents.

For example, Hal Guberman, a 30-year-old in New Jersey, was wearing a kippah when a stranger in a passing car yelled a slur at him.

Meanwhile, 38-year-old Jon Kessler from California said that every synagogue now has an armed security guard, even his son's Jewish daycare has one.

The poll says that about three in 10 Jews have been the target of physical or verbal assault, online harassment or damaged property because of their Jewish background in the past year.

AFN reported previously on a survey that found U.S. Jews were beginning to conceal their identity.

Dr. Zachary Marschall, editor in chief at Campus Reform, says that this is nothing new to him and other Jewish people in America.

“It's a trend that Jews have known and lived with for years, decades in this country. I think the reaction to the situation from the rest of the country is kind of a grim wakeup call for those of us who are Jewish,” Marschall says.

Antisemitism, he says, is the oldest and most accepted form of racism in human history. He singles out local leaders, especially Mayor Zohran Mamdani in New York, calling his protection of Jewish New Yorkers "atrocious."

Furthermore, he says that the Left's simple-minded view of the Jewish community is not accurate.

“It is not as black and white as the far Left wants to make it seem, and they will continue to lie about it because the truth about Jewish identity proves that their entire worldview, about the world being split into white and non-white and oppressed and oppressor, is completely false,” Marschall states.
