Before boarding the plane for his visit to the United States, Netanyahu vowed to "denounce" the leaders of Western countries that have recognized an independent Palestinian state in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.
Talking to reporters on the tarmac at Ben Gurion Airport he said, "I will denounce those leaders who, instead of denouncing the murderers, rapists and child burners, want to give them a state in the heart of the land of Israel. This will not happen."
Netanyahu (right) has said he will speak “our truth — the truth about the citizens of Israel, the truth about our IDF soldiers and the truth about our country,” The Times of Israel reported.
The speech is expected to push back on what he perceives as false international narratives, particularly around Israel’s conduct in Gaza and its policies.
In the run-up, his office has emphasized that Israel is pursuing a combined military-diplomatic strategy to defeat Hamas and to bring back all hostages held in Gaza, Reuters reported.
Netanyahu is likely to stress that Israel must not relent mid-conflict, reinforcing that security, military success, and diplomatic efforts are linked.

Gary Bauer is president of American Values and has served on the board of Christians United for Israel.
"When we watched the reaction at the U.N. to the president of the United States giving his speech, there was astonishment at some of the shenanigans and the failure to respond to the major points he was making. The reaction to Prime Minister Netanyahu will probably make the reaction to President Trump look like a welcome home party."
Bauer says there is clearly hatred for Israel around the world.
“Those countries, of course, are all in the United Nations, and many of them would not shed a tear if we woke up tomorrow morning and Israel had been wiped off the face of the earth. So, Benjamin Netanyahu will get a very negative reception. The only thing that would change that is if he announced that Israel had decided to surrender to the terrorists of Hamas."

Jan Markell is founder and director of Olive Tree Ministries. She says Netanyahu will just be speaking "common sense."
"Any kind of autonomy given to Muslims in the heart of Israel, the intent of those non-Israelis living in Israel is to overthrow the country. So he's just acting with common sense and the fact that the world can't see that I believe is just a blindness. I think it's fulfillment of Zachariah 12:3 ... most of the world foreshadowed there to turn on Israel."
Markell does not like how the United Nations is united.
"Supposedly, it's the United Nations. Most of those nations within the United Nations are indeed united with the idea of a two-state solution. We tried that in Gaza. It's not going to work. It will never work."
