U.S. Ambassador Kushner calls out French government for antisemitism

A conservative activist and political analyst says he is glad the U.S. Ambassador to France called out the French government for inciting antisemitism and violence against Jews in France.

U.S. Ambassador to France Charles Kushner is in big trouble with the French government, states the End of the Day Report from Gary Bauer. The father of President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, recently published in The Wall Street Journal an open letter to French President Emmanuel Macron, warning that the French government's constant criticism of Israel was inciting antisemitism and more violence against Jews in France.

In the letter, Kushner urged the president to act against antisemitism by enforcing hate-crime laws, ensuring safety of Jewish places, prosecuting offenders, and abandoning giving credibility to Hamas.

Among other things, Kushner cited the alarming statistic that nearly half of French youth say they have never heard about the Holocaust. He asked, "What are children being taught in French schools if such ignorance persists?"

France reacted by summarily summoning Kushner for a reprimand by Macron's government.

Bauer, Gary (American Values) Bauer

Bauer is chairman of the Campaign for Working Families, who has served on the board of Christians United for Israel.

"This has been the unleashing of demons, and the Great Western cities, Paris, Berlin – they've done it once before. One of the chief rabbis in France a couple years ago said France is no longer safe for Jews. We need to make plans to leave," Bauer reports.

He is praising Kushner's move, saying he is glad that the U.S. ambassador to France called out the French government.

"Macron ought to be ashamed of himself, but these people are beyond shame, and nobody should be confused about what's happening here,” says Bauer. “Each of these countries have accepted and continue to accept a tidal wave of migrants from Muslim countries. And these migrant populations, growing by leaps and bounds, are intimidating the governments of Western Europe."
