Even though tourism to Israel has dropped significantly because of the wars, thousands of people are still coming to Israel to experience the places they read about in the Bible.

I've been in Israel for close to two weeks now and have never felt threatened or unsafe. The news media wants you to believe that missiles are raining down on Israel continually. That's a false narrative. Tourists are traveling to Israel, and for those tourists that do come to Israel, it's a life-changing experience.

Pelleg, Sharon (Israeli tour guide) Pelleg

Sharon Pelleg is an Israeli tour guide with Gateway to Israel. She's been leading people around Israel for over 20 years.

“Let’s say you go to the Sea of Galilee. You can actually take a small boat, the boat that looks exactly the same like the boats that the disciples were fishing from and the boats that Jesus was standing on,” she said.

It's a humbling experience.

“I mean you sit in that boat, you look around you, you see all those places that Jesus saw with his own eyes because the landscape hasn't been changed. All those things, the scriptures, the views, the finds, the archaeology, the stories, the atmosphere, everything together I think creates a full experience that will bring the Bible to life for you,” Pelleg said.
