British Prime Minister Kier Starmer, believing the claims Israel is cruelly starving Palestinians, announced his country will recognize a Palestinian state at the United Nations.
Looking toward September, at a UN gathering, Starmer said the UK will take action “unless the Israeli government takes substantive steps to end the appalling situation in Gaza; agree to a ceasefire; and commit to a long-term sustainable peace, reviving the prospect of a two-state solution.”
France has indicated the same thing, too, and then most recently Canada’s prime minister jumped on board, too.
Talk host Mark Levin told Fox News this would be a lifeline to the terror group Hamas, which Levin pointed out kills its own people.
“Hamas needs this,” he observed. “Hamas is killing its own people the way Mao killed his own people, the way Stalin killed his own people, the way dictators, fascists, Marxists killed their own people to hold on to power."
Considering Israel’s IDF has crushed Hamas during its war in Gaza, Levin likened recognizing a Palestinian state to our World War II allies giving the Nazi Party its own country in 1945.
Gary Bauer, of Citizens United for Israel, says the statements are more than a goodwill gesture.
“A country can make its own, for example, military treaties with other countries,” he says. “Imagine a new entity called the Palestinian State making treaties with Communist China, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela."
