A pastor is getting praise for calling out an Illinois school board for the kind of books it's placing in front of students.

Raleigh, North Carolina-based pastor John Amanchukwu (shown above), a strong, sought-after voice against inappropriate reading material in public schools, didn't mince words when he addressed the board members at the Shepard Middle School in Deerfield.

Laurie Higgins, who formerly taught at Deerfield, says Amanchukwu is particularly upset by the porn literature in the school's library.

“He told them that they should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this kind of smut and filth. These were his words. He called them cowards and punks for allowing males in girls' restrooms and locker rooms,” said Higgins, the culture and education writer for Breakthrough Ideas.

“Your district is infamous because you all are finding creative ways to push perversion upon children. You have several issues going on at Shepard Middle School,” Amanchukwu told board members.

Amanchukwu has traveled to at least 15 states addressing school boards on issues like critical race theory, gender ideology, library content and more.

He is described as touring "across the country" in partnership with TPUSA Faith and other organizations, confronting the "wokest school boards in the nation."

Higgins would like to see more Christian men unabashedly speaking out against leftist propaganda in public schools.

She adds that women and children are paying the high price for the assault on masculinity that has emerged from the feminist movement.

“I do believe that men have been cowed and emasculated by embracing feminism, but Christian men should be standing strongly and firmly for truth, even if it's personally costly,” Higgins said.
