Recently, the Trump administration voiced its displeasure over the left-wing ideology that has permeated the Smithsonian Institution and other historical sites around the country. The White House released a list of exhibits from the different museums under the Smithsonian that expresses anti-American sentiment.
“The Smithsonian is OUT OF CONTROL, where everything discussed is how horrible our Country is, how bad Slavery was, and how unaccomplished the downtrodden have been — Nothing about Success, nothing about Brightness, nothing about the Future,” President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social.
The post also read that museums are the last segments of “woke” in the country and that they will undergo the same processes that colleges and universities have gone through.
Gary Bauer is chairman of the Campaign for Working Families. He says virtually every institution in American life that has been respected over the years has been taken over by the left.

"The museums are run by people that, often, graduated from very left-wing Ivy League universities; they were taught all of the wrong history about America. They go into these museums, and they make the museums reflect the anti-American history they've learned in college," explains Bauer.
He likens this unto film makers who graduate, move to Hollywood, and make films that are anti-American and anti-military.
Bauer says conservatives have spent very little time trying to win back the culture. However, Trump understands the culture, and he’s trying to restore it.
“People would save most of their lives in order to come to Washington with their family and go through those glorious buildings and learn the greatness of America. Now, you go through these buildings, and every other sentence says ‘white supremacy,’ ‘America was evil,’ ‘America was founded on slavery.’ It's just on and on and on. So, he's trying to get institutions back for the American people," Bauer says.
