The youth organization doesn't seem to want parents to know about the "inclusive" lessons it's pushing on girls.

Alexandra Bougher is a mother of three and a chapter chair of Moms for Liberty, an organization that aims to protect children and defend parental rights.

She recently told Todd Starnes that because her middle daughter was interested, she began serving with the Girl Scouts seven years ago.

"I wanted to make sure that she had a good leader and that they were going to do really fun outdoor sort of things," she said.

But things have changed over the years.

"During the COVID times … some troops were actually taking their Girl Scouts, some as young as 5-6 years old, to BLM marches," Bougher told Starnes. "This was encouraged."

Black Lives Matter claims to combat perceived systemic racism, but as two of its three founders are "queer" and "committed to disrupting the Western prescribed nuclear family structure requirement," the movement has strong ties to LGBTQ+ activism.

Meanwhile, Bougher was noticing a visible change in her town. For example, pride flags started popping up at events, even at churches.

"I couldn't bring my troop to these town events because it was completely inappropriate for children to see," the mother accounted. "They shouldn't be around anything sexual."

When her daughter's Park Ridge troop was encouraged to participate in an event featuring a trans-identifying 13-year-old, she shared that information with other parents.

"One of my social media posts went against the code of conduct for Girl Scouts. I asked which social media post, although I had an idea of what it was, and I was told that they would not be discussing it with me," Bougher reported.

In short, she was excused from her leadership role for sharing about the organization's sharp increase in LGBTQ+ activism. Her daughter is also no longer allowed to be a member.

Starnes pointed out that the Girl Scouts now feature a transgender patch, and he recommended that Bougher consider getting her daughter involved in the Christian alternative, American Heritage Girls.
