Authorities in Boulder, Colorado say the Islamic terrorist charged in Sunday's attack on elderly Jews who were peacefully demonstrating to call upon Hamas to release its Israeli hostages posed as a gardener to get close to the group so that he could kill them all with Molotov cocktails.
45-year-old Mohammed Sabry Soliman threw two incendiary devices into the group of about 20 people, yelling, "Free Palestine" and burning himself in the process. He had gas in a backpack sprayer but told investigators he did not spray it on anyone but himself "because he had planned on dying."
Soliman told federal agents that he wanted to kill all Zionist people and wished they were all dead.
He injured 12.
"This is a clear indication that the Free Palestine Movement is a terrorist movement, that it is violent," submits Robert Spencer, director of Jihad Watch. "Jews are in danger in the United States in a way that they never have been in American history because of this movement and because of unvetted, ill-conceived mass migration, including mass migration of Muslims with values that are very different from American values."
He points out that no effort has been made to encourage or require these immigrants to assimilate.
"We saw the police chief there in Boulder saying he didn't understand the motive, even after the guy is targeting Jews and shouting, 'Free Palestine.' That just ensures the fact that this kind of thing is going to happen over and over again," Spencer warns. "There doesn't seem to be anyone in any position of authority who has either the will or the wits to stop it."
During a recent appearance on Todd Starnes' show, Sebastian Gorka, senior director for counterterrorism at the White House, called out the Biden administration and said Soliman should never have been allowed in the country.
"This is the result of Democrat policies," Gorka stated. "For four years, they opened our borders wide to tens of millions of illegals, individuals who were not screened, who were not vetted. These individuals, in many cases, hate America. They hate not only America, but our civilization."
He believes many other radical Islamists are illegally among us, which means every American Christian and Jew is on the front line of war between civilization and barbarity.
He therefore advised them to learn how to defend themselves.
"You have to take responsibility for your safety and the safety of your loved ones," Gorka stated. "If you live in a jurisdiction that permits it, buy a gun, get the permit to carry it, train and understand that you are on the front line of the war between jihadis and Christians and Jews and Western civilization."
Spencer says the leftist/Islamic alliance has proven to be so strong and enduring because that both are based on terror.
