Christian women encouraged to combine prayer with civic engagement

Christian women encouraged to combine prayer with civic engagement

With less than a month to go until the midterm elections, the nation's largest socially conservative, evangelical Christian public policy women's organization is on a bus tour to rally female voters.

Concerned Women for America's (CWA) "She Prays, She Votes" campaign encourages women to combine prayer with civic engagement by becoming informed, participating in elections and voting in accordance with their values. The initiative reflects the organization’s broader mission of encouraging women to apply their faith and conservative principles to issues affecting families, communities and the nation.

CWA documented its first national "She Prays, She Votes" campaign and prayer events during the 2020 election cycle and continued the initiative in 2022, 2024 and now in 2026.

This year, the bright pink bus (pictured above) has already made stops in Ohio and Michigan and is scheduled to be in Des Moines today. Additional stops are planned in the coming days, including in Fort Worth, Texas; Birmingham, Alabama; Woodstock, Georgia; and Lynchburg, Virginia.

"It's a great opportunity for women to come together, to get excited, to get the resources they need in order to get like-minded men and women registered to vote," says CWA President Penny Nance.

"Good government is essential," she insists. "If you want to protect your family, if you want to protect women’s sports for women only and women’s safe spaces and our scholarships and so many things that we need to protect for our daughters, this is the time to stand up and vote. Vote your values, and turn out for the election."

With fewer than 30 days to go before the Nov. 3 midterms, CWA has also put together ChristianVotes.org, "a simple, trustworthy resource to help Christians vote their values."

Nance says people can visit the website to check whether they are registered to vote, register if they are not and prepare for Election Day.
